in my prime is run by people who are wholeheartedly enthusiastic about being in their prime. Most of our friends and colleagues are in this age group too, so we understand only too well the many issues and challenges that face individuals and couples at this stage of their lives.

We fervently believe that today, no one between 50 and 70 can possibly be thought of as old, ‘over the hill’ or ‘past it’. We are passionate about convincing society as a whole – including employers, retailers, marketers, politicians, policy makers, and other age groups – that this is a dynamic sector of the population with a huge number of strengths.

Who we are

Richard Ciechan:

I initially trained as an accountant before being headhunted to join Whitbread where I spent many years in Financial Management, HR and Training. In 1988 I moved out of industry into education where I taught Financial Management on postgraduate management courses.

Before setting up in my prime I developed a consultancy career in areas including Financial Management and Analysis, Performance and Change Management and Systems and Process management.

Dr Dianne Bown-Wilson:

Although I now consider myself primarily as a specialist in age management and diversity, my career has encompassed a number of senior marketing and management roles within public and private sector organisations.

I have been established as an independent consultant and executive coach since 2000 and since then I have worked with businesses and individuals on a wide range of issues relating to change management, leadership and engagement and personal and business development. My PhD is in organizational behaviour, and I have a special interest in the career development of older individuals.
